Lotus has joined forces with Hollywood movie 'The Dark Knight Rises' for this weekend's British Grand Prix.
As a part of the partnership, logos of the Batman movie will feature on the drivers' helmets, overalls and in the team’s garage at Silverstone.
“This season we have been the dark horses in the championship fight, so this partnership with The Dark Knight Rises is a fantastic match," said Lotus team principal Eric Boullier.
"Our car, the E20, looks superb with the Batman branding and we are looking forward to seeing the reaction of our numerous fans when it takes to the Silverstone circuit this weekend. We are certainly hoping for an epic conclusion for The Dark Knight Rises E20 in the Grand Prix,” the Frenchman added.
The Tumbler vehicle, driven by Batman in the movie, will also be performing an on-track display with the Lotus F1 car along with Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean on Thursday.
The film - directed by Christopher Nolan - stars Christian Bale, Liam Neeson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman and will conclude the Dark Knight motion picture trilogy
‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is set to release in the UK on July 20.
Toyota had done a similar promotional deal in 2008 to mark the release of 'The Dark Knight' at the British GP.
