The third and final young driver test of the season kicks off in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday with the remaining six teams, who were yet to conduct their programmes, to participate in the outing.

Two such tests were held earlier this season, with Williams, Marussia and HRT taking part in the one conducted at Silverstone, shortly after the British Grand Prix, while Ferrari, Mercedes and Force India ran their programmes at Magny-Cours right after the Italian GP in September.

Red Bull will be fielding Antonio Felix da Costa and Robin Frijns with the Dutchman also scheduled to make an appearance for Sauber on day one. The Swiss team will also have the services of Esteban Gutierrez at its disposal.

McLaren has Kevin Magnussen, test and reserve driver Gary Paffett and development driver Oliver Turvey in its fold over the course of the three days.

Lotus will run four-time world champion Alain Prost’s son, Nicolas, along with Edoardo Mortara and reigning GP2 champion David Valsecchi while Giedo van der Garde and Alexander Rossi will make an appearance for Caterham.

Toro Rosso’s line up consists of this year’s GP2 Series runner-up Luiz Razia and Johnny Cecotto Jr., the son of former F1 driver Johnny Cecotto, who competed in the 1983 and 1984 seasons for Theodore and the Toleman teams.

“I’m very happy for Johnny. He’s going to enjoy his experience in Formula 1. He had a good championship in GP2 this year,” said Pastor Maldonado about his 23-year-old compatriot who won two races in the feeder series this season. “He’s a great talent and I hope to see him quite soon in Formula 1.”

Razia’s previous experience in an F1 car consists of a young driver test for Virgin in 2010 and in the following year, the Brazilian drove for Lotus in the first practice session at the Chinese Grand Prix, as well as taking part in that year’s young driver test.
