Kimi Raikkonen, nicknamed ‘The Iceman’, will be in his element next month after he was named as one of the drivers to race on ice in an event organised by Russian publication Za Rulem.
To be held at the Central Moscow Hippodrome on February 23, the event will also feature Vitaly Petrov and Caterham’s Charles Pic among others although Raikkonen has been named as the star guest.
Competitors will be racing Renault's road cars specially prepared for the event, which will be held a day after the second pre-season Formula 1 test ends in Catalunya.
Raikkonen, who competed in the World Rally Championship during his F1 sabbatical, had suffered a sore wrist after falling off a snowmobile during a race in December 2011.
