Despite announcing his retirement from the highest echelon of motorsport, Michael Schumacher can’t stay away from a race track.
The 44-year-old took part in Tony Kart Racing Team’s first test session on January 23 and 24 at the at the South Garda circuit in Lonato in Italy.
A seven-time Formula 1 world champion, the German has previously tested for the squad, which described Schumacher as “the absolute protagonist” of the two day test.
The kart will be raced in this season’s WSK Master Series, which will begin this weekend.
