Ferrari has been marked as the world’s most powerful marque from a list of 500 companies, according to the assessment of brand valuation company Brand Finance.
The Italian manufacturer pipped other well-known names like Google, Coca-Cola, PwC and Hermes, which featured in the top five in that order.
The list was compiled after an extensive study which included several variables like net margins, average revenue per customer, advertising and marketing spend and brand affection and loyalty.
“It is always a pleasure to top any list and still more so when the competition includes some of the world’s most famous companies,” said Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo. “This achievement proves that even in very tough economic times, Italy can still offer the world businesses of excellence.”
