Team spokeswoman Sophie Eden confirmed media reports that the FIA told Williams it had doubts about the legality of its new exhaust design. She said the team had asked for further information and would continue forward with its test program.

Pastor Maldonado, for his part, said he was not concerned and that the team "would be looking to fight in Melbourne."
