Nico Hulkenberg had an unusual encounter on Friday morning as the German was making his way to the Catalunya circuit to take part in practice for the Spanish Grand Prix.
The German was stopped by the police in Barcelona for an alcohol test with a breathalyzer.
“Ran into a police control on my way to the track! Had to do a Alcohol test??! Result was of course 0.00,” the German driver mentioned on his Twitter page along with a photo.
Hulkenberg was at the wheel of the car, a BMW, at the time.
"The policeman administering the test clearly didn’t recognise him as no self-respecting F1 driver would ever be caught over the limit," Williams mentioned on its Facebook page.
