If you can’t beat them, join them.
Fernando Alonso is mulling quitting Ferrari and joining rivals Red Bull next year, severing his contract with the Italian team which ends at 2016 by buying it out.
According to speculation, the Spaniard’s manager Luis Garcia Abad met with Red Bull boss Christian Horner at the Hungarian Grand Prix to discuss his client’s future with the team.
"Any conversations between any of the drivers and any of the parties will always remain confidential,” Horner was quoted saying by Autosport refusing to reveal the discussion he had with Abad.
“But of course there have been quite a few drivers who have expressed an interest in the seat, as you can imagine," he added.
Alonso, meanwhile, insisted that he was happy with Ferrari.
